Club Quiz night 22nd March

We have had a great initial response to the quiz night, and I will be looking to confirm numbers (teams) during March,

If you can get a table of 6 together happy days, if not, don’t worry we will team you up with other members, cost for all this fun is just £5 per person

The totally bonkers quiz master Ben Crozier who will have you all chuckling away with his unique way of running quiz nights if past quiz nights are anything to go by this is a evening not to be missed, you don’t have to have a degree in Neuroscience , but if you know your crisp and jam Flavors, know what colour Bridget Jones knickers are, or how many cans of paint it takes to paint the Tower of London this is the quiz night for you

Box Leagues

With a very good percentage of games played the box games are proving to be very competitive with some great games being fought and a few surprise results posted

The new Box Leagues will go live on Friday 28th Feb and run until Sunday 6th April

The big hot potato of Box leagues is when a player is constantly unavailable to play their games, do not respond to any form of communication and offer no alternative date to their opponent of when they can play, not a problem if they don’t play any of their box games as they will just be removed from the boxes in the next period. The issue is when they have played 1-2 games early in the period and then don’t play anymore meaning that other player in the same box don’t get the chance to claim 2 extra points for playing all their games and the chance of promotion to higher leagues, a real dilemma and will be discussed again this week with players at club night to find a common ground that tries to address the issue and sits well with players of all the boxes.

On a positive note, the boxes are still strong and I thank everyone that continues to support the box leagues, it creates a great atmosphere and lively debates around the bar and club, good luck for this next period.

Club Night Food is Back…….

Pie + chips + Peas (various fillings available ask at the bar on arrival)

Friday night club night

Courts available from 5.20pm continuing until late, just turn up, Play and Socialise with other likeminded club players.

There will be a 8 or 10 minute time limited to each pair of players on court, straight into warming up and then playing with no limit on where the score ends up, once the 8 or 10 minutes has been reached the alarm will sound and the next 2 players can go on court to play their 8 or 10 minutes.

A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending regardless of how many games they play
