Good Morning MSC Members

Club Carpets (Bar area, stairs and landing)

Entrance to the bar area via the stairs will be closed off on Friday 2-2-24 (tomorrow) at 8am until at least 1pm so that all the carpets can be steamed cleaned and dried, this will not effect any members playing squash and using the changing rooms during this time and the stairs and bar area will be opened up fully in time for Friday Club Night

Box Squash Play off final’s night Result

With the club Buzzing with an atmosphere not felt for a few years at the club the play-off finals did not disappoint….with great performances from all the six box players of varying squash levels, it was night with players playing their best squash while under the spotlight of both critical and appreciative supporters giving their all whilst viewing from the bar area, ……………With light hearted banter throw in for good measure between points it proved to be a fantastic mood for both players and supporters alike.

The 6 players were whittled down to just Nick Peel and John Hogwood to contest the final, the best of 5 games first to 11. After some great squash with both attacking and tactical play by both players Nick Peel come out the eventual winner by 3 games to 1.

The new leagues are up and matches are being played, don’t forget to get your matches played and scores recorded on both the sheets on the notice board as well as on the Mycourts web site, as all your scores will be added up at the end of 2024 to find the next 6 finalists to compete for the MSC 2024 Box League Champions Cup

Friday Night is Club Night

Club night resumes this week with courts available from 5.20pm continuing until late

Club night squash time limit

There will be a 10-minute time limited if we have more than 6 players turning up, players will go straight into warming up and then playing with no limit on where the score ends up, once the 10 minutes has been reached the alarm will sound and the next 2 players can go on court to play there 10 minutes.

A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending

I would like to thank every single member of MSC for there continued support of the Box Squash Leagues, Friday Club Night and the Bar, as without your support nights like last Friday would be just something that happened “Back in the Day”
