Handicap Box League starting

Hi Everyone,

Following on from previous emails, and at the request of some members, we are starting the Handicap Squash Box League on a 3 month trial from this Sunday 1st December to Saturday 29th February 2020. This will replace the existing Box League until further notice.

Please see the Notice Board for more details from Sunday

There will only be one 'Box' for this 3 month period
You can play as many of the matches as you wish
All matches will be 3 games
Scoring will be PAR 15 (win by 2 clear points)
Each match will end in a result of 3-0 or 2-1

Handicaps

With the help of Val Cray & Helen Castle, I have allocated handicaps to each player who has requested participation in the Handicap League...Please see below...

Scoring...

When the 2 players in a match both have a positive (+) handicap, the lower ranked player starts on Zero and the higher ranked player starts on the difference between the 2... for example...

'Player 1' has +2 handicap against 'Player 2' who has a +5 handicap.
The difference is 3 points
Therefore the starting score would be Player 1 on Zero, and player 2 starting on 3

When one player has a negative (-) handicap, and the other has a positive (+) handicap, the starting scores for each game is as per their handicap.

If anyone else would like to join, please let me know or enter your name on the sheet that is on the notice board outside the squash courts.
