Good Morning and Welcome to 2024

Wishing you all a very happy New year, it’s now time to work off the mince pies, the cheese and biscuits and that cheeky little tipple that you know you shouldn’t have had …..but just couldn’t resist as they tasted so good first time around.

Court 1 (black marks)

We have noticed a increase in the amount of black skid marks on court 1, these marks caused by wearing unsuitable footwear for squash are near impossible to remove with just cleaning alone, so can you all please check you squash shoes are Non marking as some trendy “court shoes” will have black sections built into them and these sections will mark the court flooring.

Important Essential Building Maintenance

On Thursday 4th Jan The MSC will be closed to all members from 7am until 5pm approx. due to an essential electrical distribution board upgrade which will mean that there will be no lighting or heating during this period. We hope to have the work completed in this time frame so that we can all get back to the game we all enjoy, you will also notice on the mycourts booking app that this period has been blocked out as “UPGRADE” so please do not turn up at the club expecting to be able to get a game played.

MSC Box Squash Leagues

Box leagues for 2023 have now CLOSED…. if all players can make sure that the games they have played are logged on the Mycourts app, the paper sheets on the notice board will be removed Wednesday evening so that we can add up all the games won (not matches) to find who will be in the MSC Box League play offs, watch this space for the names of the lucky players.

Friday Night is Club Night is Back

Looking forward to seeing everyone this Friday as Club night is back for 2024

As usual the club night will start at 5.00pm until late playing a quick-fire game of first to 15 (American scoring) then rotating against other club players. A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending

Food will be the old favourites, if anyone knows that they will be eating then please let me know in advance so that it can be prepared in good time
