Welcome to this week’s news letter

Parking Permits / Parking

Please make sure that you clearly display your parking permit in full view on the dashboard as you might find that a penalty notice will land on your doorstep if you fail to do so. We have got a lot better, but still we have some members that park there cars in the front parking bays blocking empty spaces in front of them closes to the club, please be considerate to all our members that use the carpark for both playing squash and popping into town shopping.

Maidstone Team Squash “Ian Wright Cup Final”

Maidstone Squash Club will be hosting the “The Ian Wright Cup Final” this coming Saturday 15th @7pm between “Maidstone 1” v “Poult Wood 4” as this is being played early on a Saturday evening and with “Hurtys Bar” open its hope we have a real party atmosphere with as many club members in the club to support Maidstone 1 in their attempt to lift the “The Ian Wright Cup” The Squash team have also kindly supplied a free finger buffet for all the supporters that turn up on the night, a big thank you to Phil Fray and your teams for this kind gesture.

Box Leagues

The clock is ticking on getting the box games completed just 18 days to go to get your games played

Friday Night is Club Night

As usual the club night will start at 5.30pm until late playing a quick-fire game of first to 15 (American scoring) then rotating against other club players. A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending
Food this week again will be “5 Bean Chilli” with Rice + Tortilla wrap

Racket Grips and Balls

Karakal squash Grips £2.60, Dunlop squash balls £2.90, Karakal Black and Dunlop Blue Racket balls £4 (black) and £3.80 (Blue) These are now available to purchase from the Bar

Up and Coming Events

“Rhythm and Blues” Club Social Night
Put Saturday 29th April 2023 in your Diary… as on this night we will holding a Club social night with live music from “The Muddies” a “Muddy River Soul and Blues Band” Limited free tickets for the event will be available soon and a separate email will be sent out with all the details.

AGM

The club will hold its annual AGM on Monday 24th April @ 7.30pm in the club bar area. Everyone is invited to attend I hope we get as many of the Club Members as possible to attend to have their say, on how the club is run and how they would like to see the club run going forward into 2023/24. Notices of the AGM now posted on all notice boards around the club
