Your weekly update on how our two Maidstone squash teams got on last week and there’s even more to celebrate again this week

Maidstone 1 away to Wells Squash Club (Thursday 24th 7-30pm)

Our number one Team smashed their way to the top of Division 4 beating Wells Squash Club 3 – 1. Special mention about Phil Fray coming back from injury to take 3-0 victory over Mark Sykes a great come back performance from Phil. John Hogwood, battened down the hatches playing Alex Peace in a monster 5 game match eventually coming out on top 3-2, Dinesh Bansal bounced back from a defeat on Tuesday playing for the 2nd team to take a 3-1 win playing Ben Rasmussen and Dom Middleton-Frith lost a very close match against Andy Smith losing 3-0.

Maidstone 2 @ home to Warlingham 1 (Tuesday 22nd 7-30pm)

Maidstone 2 have put themselves in a very good position in Div 5 with another win, this time over possibly not the strongest warlingham team they could have fielded, but a win is a win with Maidstone 2 coming out on top 3-1 to climb up the Div 5 table to 6th Position, Bill Thompson, Dan Cavalli and Darren Trebble all taking 3-0 wins, Dinesh Bansal up against John Smith who with some 1000 squash level points above Dinesh this was going be a tough game, and so it turned out to be, dinesh battled hard but was beaten by the better player 3 nil, that said check the score below it was no walk in the park for John Smith
