Good Morning MSC Members

Quiz Night (Saturday 2nd march)

Where do we start………what a fantastic evening last Saturday night turned out to be, with 40+ members and friends attending the quiz night which proved once again very popular and entertaining with some guests still in the bar area way past midnight, it just shows how far the club come in the last year or so and long may it continue.

Ben Crozier (quiz master) totally excelled in getting everyone involved during the evening especially the “Building of the Paper Tower” with quizzers having just A4 sheets of paper and masking tape to build the highest tower in 10mins, needless to say there was some ingenious adaptations of the rules leading to some lively discussions between teams wanting certain culprits disqualified or worst (thrown in the local prison which they already work in) …………they did eventually receive a points penalty.

Come the end of the evening when all the points where added up it boiled down to tie in points which meant that there was a straight forward “Left” or “right” question to the finalists “Team Debt Collectors” and “Team Depleted”…………….. BOSH with the Debt Collectors lead by Phil Fray coming out on top to take the winners spoils and bragging rights over “Team Depleted” (last years winners) …. well until the next Quiz night when im sure Claire Grimbly's "Team Depleted" will come back strong .

A Very special message of thanks go to Jeff and Sue Fray for allowing us the use of all the tables and chairs from the Christchurch Church in Luton (Medway), addition thanks are also extended to John Hogwood, Claire Grimbly and Phil Fray for their invaluable contributions that made this event happen and a huge success.

I would like to to thank all the younger members that supported a MSC event for the first time your participation was very much appreciated and we look forward to seeing you at our next event.

MSC Box league

With the first of the 2024 box leagues now ended, the new league will go live on the 15th March and run until the 30th April more than enough time to get all the games played.

Friday night is club night

Courts available from 5.20pm continuing until late, just turn up, Play and Socialise with other likeminded club players.

Club night squash time limit (when 6 or more players attend)

There will be a 10-minute time limited this week to each pair of players on court, straight into warming up and then playing with no limit on where the score ends up, once the 10 minutes has been reached the alarm will sound and the next 2 players can go on court to play there 10 minutes.

A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending regardless of how many games they play

Chicken Curry + Rice + Naan

Vegetable Curry + Rice + Naan

Various Burgers, Spicy Chicken Goujons, Sausages and Fries available on request
