MSC Squash Box Leagues

G’day to all you Bruce’s and Sheila’s

Not Long before Hurty returns from Far North Queensland visiting his 2 kangaroos and 4 little Joey’s, Word on the digeridoo is that he has survived (so far at least) Croc’s, Snakes, Sharks, Boxing Roo’s, spiders, jellyfish and the most venomous and deadliest ……….the ex-wife…..Lol

Looking at the box leagues (on My-courts) there doesn’t seem to be many games being played, a couple in Box 1 and that’s about it, you only have until the 23rd October to get your games played, which might seem a age away but 3 weeks has passed and only 2 games have been played that I can see on the web site.

Don't forget we implement a 2 up and 2 down process i.e…… the bottom 2 players in League 1 will drop to league 2, The top 2 players in league 2 will go up to league 1, The bottom 2 players in league 2 will drop to league 3, etc this process will be applied across all 6 box leagues, if two players end up on the same points in a league then the player that won that match against the player with the same points will be promoted.

Games are played too 11 (eleven), if the game is 10-10 you must win by 2 (two) clear points, American scoring best of 5 games (or first to 3)

Friday Night Is Club Night

Many thanks to the members that have been holding the fort behind the bar in Hurtys absents, think it will cost him a few rounds of beer and wine on his return to say thank you, I can see the limoncello making a very welcome return

Keep supporting the club night it really does make a massive difference from other squash clubs in the Kent area

Unfortunately, there will be no food again this week but rest assured that normal food service will be resumed on Hurtys return.

Up and coming events

The club will be holding a quiz night on Saturday 11th November, more details will be published in next week’s newsletter
