Contactless Court payment

Starting the newsletter off with some fantastic news that we are now pushing ahead with a contactless payments system for the court lighting, no more looking for that “quid” in your pocket or raiding your kids / grandchildren’s savings jar to pay for the court lights. I will update you all further with more information going forward but what I do know at this time is that it is hoped that the new contactless payment meters should be installed and up and running by September / October this year, that sounds a long way off to still be hunting around for that little gold coloured token but it’s just 12 /16 weeks away….

Box Leagues

Box Leagues went live on Monday 29th June and will run right through the summer to the 30th August, this is 9 weeks to play your games and due to this I have increased the amount of players in Boxes 2, 3, 4 and 5 to six players (1up + 1 down format) and with Box 1 and 6 staying with five players each, we will return back to Five players per box in September with the normal 2 up + 2 down format.

We hope to publish up and coming events in every newsletter with dates and times as and when they are confirmed.

If any Member would like to make suggestion on an event they would like to see the club hold for the good of the club and its members please let me know.

Friday Night is Club Night (3rd July)

Courts available from 5.20pm continuing until late, just turn up, Play and Socialise with other likeminded club players.

There will be a 8 or 10 minute time limited to each pair of players on court, straight into warming up and then playing with no limit on where the score ends up, once the 8 or 10 minutes has been reached the alarm will sound and the next 2 players can go on court to play their 8 or 10 minutes.

A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending regardless of how many games they play

There is no club night on Friday July 10th, courts can be booked out by members as per normal
