Good Morning All MSC members
Quiz Night
Still places available for a great night of fun with the brilliant quiz master Ben Crozier, who will be running the quiz night on Saturday 15th June @ 7pm in the club bar area
Please requester your interest at Hurty’s Bar or with Darren at darren.trebble@yahoo.co.uk , we had over 40 members attend last time and each and every one of them had a night to remember, so let me know if you are attending and if you are entering a team of 1-2-4 or 6 persons, cost per quizzer is again just £5.
MSC Touring Team Squash @ Rodmersham and Gibraltar
We will have two strong MSC presents at this weekend’s Rodmersham Open squash tournament with 6 of our club members entered over 3 grades, they are collectively called “The Maidstone Massive” they would have been called the “Heavy Mob” but Hurty is off to Gibraltar to play in a Club against Club mini Competition on the “ROCK” where 7 MSC members are making they way out to Gibraltar to play Squash and Racket ball over 2 days against a team or teams put together by ex-MSC member Graham Ray from the Europa Sports Park (Gibraltar) , the MSC “Rock Invaders” under the guidance of Andy Rogers are, Graham Appleby, Candy Wilton, Bruce Wilton, Brendan Touhey, Darren “Hurty” Trebble and Moria Varrall.
The “Maidstone Massive” playing at Rodmersham Open are Dinesh Bansal (B grade) John Hogwood (C grade) Phil Fray (C grade) Bill Thompson (C grade) Vaughan Hill (D grade) and Phil Gamwell (D grade)
We would like to wish all of these players the best of luck in both competitions and I hope to have a report on how these MSC members performed in next week’s newsletter
Friday night is club night
With “Hurty” on overseas duty on the “Rock” this weeks club night will be kindly hosted by Kasia, unfortunately no food will be available this week
Courts available from 5.20pm continuing until late, just turn up, Play and Socialise with other likeminded club players.
There will be a 10-minute time limited to each pair of players on court, straight into warming up and then playing with no limit on where the score ends up, once the 10 minutes has been reached the alarm will sound and the next 2 players can go on court to play there 10 minutes.
A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending regardless of how many games they play
Parking Cones
Please keep up the good work you are all doing by moving the cones when parking and replacing them when leaving, if you see the cones have been moved or knocked over please replace them back to the middle of the bay.
Would also like to bring to your attention that whilst you are getting out your car and moving the cones to park please make sure that sure that your car and belongings are safe……car door left open, engine running, handbag or wallet left on the front seat in full view of anyone that might just be passing at the same time, please be careful.
Regards
