MSC 90th Birthday Celebration

Saturday 13TH September 2025 (date Confirmed)

On this day the Club will be celebrating its 90th Birthday and we will be holding a members only Squash / Racket Ball Competition open to all members and standards (format TBC in the next newsletter) We would like to get as many squash / racket-ball players as possible involved in this celebration of the clubs landmark 90th Birthday

Free unlimited sherry will be available all day and into the evening to help all members celebrate long into the evening,` just as they did at the inauguration of the opening of the squash club back in 1935

Afternoon B-B-Q during the squash and racket ball competition (TBC)

Evening of Music, Dancing and hopefully a Hogg Roast Type Diner or B-B-Q

All the above TBC with more celebratory goings on to be announce over the coming weeks

Drinking Water Dispenser

We will be installing a Drinking Water Dispenser in the area around the stairs / store room, this is a popular request from a lot of members to be able to have easy access to “Cold” filter drinking water in the squash court corridor, we hope to have the dispenser up and running in the next couple of weeks.

Ice Making Machine

We have purchased a Countertop Ice making machine for the bar area giving us a unlimited supply of ice cubes, I will see if its viable to have this in an area accessible to all members use even when the bar is closed

Friday night club night

Courts available from 5.20pm continuing until late, just turn up, Play and Socialise with other likeminded club players.

There will be a 8 or 10 minute time limited to each pair of players on court, straight into warming up and then playing with no limit on where the score ends up, once the 8 or 10 minutes has been reached the alarm will sound and the next 2 players can go on court to play their 8 or 10 minutes.

A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending regardless of how many games they play
