Good Morning Members

Club Championship 2026 17th October

We are pleased to announce that the Closed MSC Club Championship will take place on Saturday the 17th October from 10am, depending on the numbers that sign up to the championship will determine the actual start time, format, and duration of the matches.

We are looking to have as many members as possible, regardless of their squash standard or ability to sign up as soon as possible so that format can be confirmed

The only criteria to entry this championship is that you are a fully paid-up club member as of Friday 16th October

Club Membership Renewal Now Due

Your Membership is now due, please see the many previous emails about your membership renewal and how to pay, all members that have not paid the membership by the 1st November will have their key fob “Disabled” until such time that your membership fee has been received and processed accordingly

Contactless Court payment

You may have notice that the new contactless payments system for the court lighting is in the process of being installed, we hope to have this online very shortly with due notice being given to you all as soon as it is online, so no more looking for that “quid” in your pocket or raiding your kids / grandchildren’s savings jar to pay for the court lights, please be patient with us while set the payment meter up

Court Fee’s

The court fees have now been increased to £1 per 8mins and £2 per 16mins, the light meters have been re-calibrated to reflect this small court fee increase with immediate effect

Fun Fact, The very first UK contactless payments card, the ‘Barclaycard OnePulse’, was launched in September 2007. The innovative card combined Chip and PIN, contactless payment and Oyster functionality. It kicked off a payments' revolution that has seen £60bn spent using contactless and six in ten Brits now choosing to pay with their contactless cards.

Quiz Night 24th October

The ever-popular quiz night is back on Saturday 24th October @ 7pm, as always, we will have at least 8 tables of 6 players doing battle for the enviable title of being the Team who “Knows the most about Nothing” with Ben Crozier being the slightly excentric quiz master setting the questions that will favour the team that knows the most about absolutely nothing.

This is a most enjoyable and competitive evening that never fails to entertain all those that attend, so book your table at the bar or text me directly 07770960477 with your name and how many places you require to secure your table, don’t worry if you don’t have a team of six we will team you up with other members or friends that also don’t have any friends to make up a team….Lol……. We ask for £5 per player (paid on the night) You can bring your own table nibbles for the evening, but all drinks must be purchased from the bar.
