90th MSC Anniversary Celebrations

Good Morning MSC Members

A very special thanks go out to Vaughan Hill and John O’Mahoney for coming up with the unique format that had a maximum of 21 points on offer in any single game.

A massive thanks must go out to Big Phil Gamwel, our BBQ chef for the day, from the 12hr smoked pork shoulder to the butchers sausages and burgers it was a feast not to be missed.

Thank you Clare Grimbly for arranging the bar decoration and I believe cutting your holiday short to attend these celebrations

Even more thanks go out to Katie Hill who baked the most wonderful chocolate orange birthday to the ladies that cupcakes complete with the 90 years anniversary logo.

Message from Hurty

Can I just say I was deeply humbled by the support and enthusiasm of all our members that attended during the course of the day, from what was to be an small (ish) scale internal squash competition from John and Vaughan that then took a number of twist and turns on the way, bringing on board Phil G and his 12hr Smoked Pork Shoulder, the individual birthday cakes from Kate, the one-off 90 year anniversary competition T-Shirts, the night club feel on court 2, 9am Sherry served over ice and orange shots, the Court floor protection….this list goes on….I just would like to thank everyone of you that made Saturday 13th September such a memorable accession.

Sorry if I have missed anyone, but thank you too

Keep a eye out for our next squash social event leading up to a Christmas party ……maybe, …………..I’m going to have a rest in OZ and who knows on my return Hurty’s little Elf’s might have another great idea that we can all get behind, watch this space.........
