Welcome to this week’s news letter

Court 1

Following on from having a better expansion gap on court 1 things seem to have settled down with the bowing floor, the court played very well on Tuesday night when Maidstone 2 team won their first home game of the winter 23/24 season, hopefully we will not have anymore reason to close the court in the coming days / weeks

Men’s Showers

The drying out process of the shower area will be on going until the floor has dried out sufficiently to complete the flooring works, I will keep you all informed of progress but for the next few days the Men’s Showers remain closed, this does not affect the use of the main changing room area.

Saturday 28th October (School of Rock)

The school of Rock (starnes court) have hired the upstairs bar and lounge area for a private function on Saturday 28th Oct, the school will have sole use of the upstairs of the club from 11am thru to 3pm, you would have noticed that both courts have been block booked out during these times as we expect there to be loud music being played by musicians of all ages during this time and squash would be impossible to play.

Quiz Night

The Club will be holding a Quiz night on Saturday November 11th We need 8-9 teams of 6 people per team. We have 5 teams registered already, you don’t need to have a full team of 6 as we will “team up” individuals, couples, foursomes on the night. We still need more quizzers so please register your interest with me (Hurty) either when at the club or via my email address and telephone number at the bottom of the page.

World Cup Rugby (Fri 27th Oct)

England V Argentina (Kick Off 8pm)

Watch England play Argentina to decide who finishes 3rd or 4th in the 2023 World Cup, the bar will be open until the game finishes to anyone who would like to stay and watch.

Friday Night is Club Night

As usual the club night will start at 5.30pm until late playing a quick-fire game of first to 15 (American scoring) then rotating against other club players. A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending

A selection of Burgers in a Brioche Roll + Chips
