Maidstone Squash Club continues to be the best value for money club in the county and even though we are all experiencing difficult times due to the increase of the cost of living, we are pleased to be able to hold subscriptions at the same level for this year.

Members News (whinge)

We would like to “Again” bring to everyone attention that only “Court Shoes” should be wore on our squash courts, It has been reported that there are many marks on Court 1 especially in the front right corner and across the whole back of the court. We have some of the best courts in Kent and we intend to keep them in the condition they are for all to enjoy, so please do not wear designer trainers, black soled outdoor recreational trainers as these leave black marks that are very difficult to remove from the wooden flooring. We ask all member to be vigilante and if you see anyone on the courts with inappropriate footwear is to speak to the player or report it back to myself who will talk to the member privately.

MSC Parking Permits

New parking permits will be issued to all members that have paid their 2023/24 membership fees towards the backend of October, these will be of a different colour and all old permits (red ones) will cease to be valid from the 1st December 2023

MSC Box Squash Leagues

Less than 20 days to go before the present leagues finish, and players have woken up and there is a flurry of activity most nights in the club, so get you courts booked and get those games played.

Up and Coming Event

The Club will be holding a Quiz night on Saturday November 11th with a Fish and Chip Supper, We need 8-9 teams of 6 people per team.

We still need to finalise the cost of this event but be are aiming to keep it at about £10 per person (tbc) Please register your interest with me (hurty) either when at the club or via my email address and telephone number at the bottom of the page, posters will appear around the club in due course once everything has been set in stone, we will also update everyone via this newsletter.

MSC Team News

With Just one game left to play in the summer league, Maidstone 1 can secure the runners up spot in Div 5, with only one loss in the last 9 games its been a brilliant performance by all the players in the second half of the summer season.

The last game of the summer league is on Tuesday at Home to Beckenham 3 so come down to the club for about 7.30pm have a couple of drinks and support the Maidstone squash team, who knows you might even get a beer brought for you for just turning up!!!

Friday Night is Club Night

Having survived Killer Jellyfish, Saltwater Crocs, Deadly Spiders, the odd Shark and the most deadliest venomous of them all…….the EX Wife !!!……....after fighting off all these challenges Hurty is back. !!!

A massive thank you to Linzi and Kasia for adding a touch of class and glamour behind the bar during the last 4 friday night is club night while I was away, as without you girls Friday nights would not have been the same, thank you.

As usual the club night will start at 5.30pm until late playing a quick-fire game of first to 15 (American scoring) then rotating against other club players. A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending
