Bromley Sports 3 had not lost all season, until the re-arrange match against Maidstone 2 last night
Tom Williams started the ball rolling buy showing Bromley team captain Tony Davis that he was not going to be a easy push over, Its true to say that Tom hasn’t show his true form of late and with the pep talk he received from Phil “Big Dog” Fray on the way to Bromley sports still ringing in his ears he certainly stepped up to the plate, taking the first game 15/8 that sent shock waves through the Bromley team, so much so that the beating was too much for Tony who retired from the match with a mystery injury.
Phil “Big Dog” Fray sporting what looked like 2 “budgies” on his feet come out all guns blazing taking a 2 game lead with relative ease against Nick Winning, Nick fought back in the 3 game as “Big Dogs” legendry drop shots from the back of the court were either to high, which nick was picking up, or in the tin. In the 4th game the Budgies started to play their part and after being a few points down “Big Dog” dug in to win the game and match.
Dan Cavalli was up against one of the many Bromley youngsters Veer Vaghela, Dan up against a very strong player was performing extremely well until he also picked up a leg injury which certainly slowed him down, Veer sniffing a win and needing to get to bed due to getting up for junior school in the morning stepped up a gear and went on to win 3 nil.
Darren “Hurty” Trebble was up against a future Hollywood star “Jake Davis” think Hurty was a bit star struck and blinded by the bright lights of tinsel town in the first two games as he quickly went 2 games down to the very quick around the court Jake, Hurty took the 3rd game and thought he had turned the corner and started to worry Jake on his back hand, but a number of self-inflicted strokes against himself let Jake take the 4th game with ease and with it the match 3-1
