Hi Everyone,
The 3rd (of 6 this year) box is now open so you can all start to arrange your matches. League 3 will conclude on 18th June so it runs for 6 weeks.
As you will see on the system, there are 2 divisions, each with 6 players. This gives you all 6 weeks to play 5 matches. Please do your best to play all your games so that we have a 100% match completion rate.
If anyone else would like to join the Box Leagues, please let me know and I will add you. The only request I have is that you do your best to play all your games.
Growing the club...
These Box Leagues are important to the health of the club,
plus they give you all a chance to meet & play against people you may not ordinarily play. But the leagues are just one component of a programme of events being introduced to grow the participation & membership within the club.
Brendan Touhey MBE has arranged a number of friendly club/social/match nights
against local Army players and these are proving to be very successful. The next evening is Wednesday 11th May, so if anyone would like to be a part of it, please contact Brendan.
Also
Darren Trebble is now our Competition Secretary,
so look out for news of the competitions Darren will be arranging.
Phil Fray is also running the Maidstone Squash Club Team
which has seen more players joining & representing the club against other squash clubs in & around Kent. If you get a chance to come and watch them play a home match, I would highly recommend it because you will see a high standard of squash being played.
More news I'm sure will follow about these and other events aimed at growing our club.
