Court refurbishment (final update…….promise)

I am very pleased to announce that the courts will be open to all members from Tuesday 5th May, the court booking system has been opened up and you can now make booking 2 weeks in advance as previous.

Bank Holiday Monday, Club Squash Afternoon 4th May from Midday (12am to 7pm)

All members are invited to come to the club midday Monday to inspect (if you cheeky buggers haven’t already done so) and play on our spanking new courts to experience what its like to play on the newest courts in the UK possibly in the world (cant confirm that one) that are just 4 days old .

You will not being able to book these courts on Monday as we would like as many people as possible to experience playing on state-of-the-art junkers flooring and with the new wall finish (Armorcoat) you will all notice how good these courts are.

Depending on how many members turn up we will be playing “club night rules” where a time restriction will be implemented to allow as many players on court and you must put your name on the playing order sheet.

The Bar will be open from midday and if time allows there possible be some food available.

We have some cleaning up to get sorted around the club but more importantly waiting for all the Airbourne building dust to settle so the courts are both safe (not slippery with the dust) and are at their ultimate best for you all

Fun Mixed Ability Team Squash (MATS) Competition is on Saturday May 16th Entries close Today

We have 24 players entered at present and if anyone else who would like to enter, please contact me directly on my details below as the entry form has now been removed from the notice board.

Likewise, if you have entered but now cannot attend on the 16th let me know asap

The competition will be along the same lines as we held for the 90th Birthday celebrations, which consisted of Mixed Ability Teams consisting of Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds and Spades playing to a of score of 21 (poker style), this format was very well received by the 30+ players that entered last September but it is hope that we will have even more of you enter regardless of your ability, this is designed to be a fun event that everyone enjoys,

Start time will be around 1pm (tbc) we require max of 36 players, so please register as soon as possible, entries are on a first come first serve basis.

We will be looking to have food available on the day and it goes without saying that the bar will be open all day

Box Leagues

Box leagues are now live….!

You can view and book courts for your box league games that must be played by the 21st June
