Good Morning MSC Members

The MSC committee would like to wish all OUR club members a very Happy Easter and to those members that are taking advantage of getting away for the long weekend, wish you a safe and pleasant journey to and from your chosen destination.

Good Friday Squash

Any Members that can’t make club night but still fancy’s having a game earlier in the day come down the club as Hurty’s Bar will be open from 10am serving up Bacon or sausage sandwiches throughout the day (£3), along with a complimentary Tea or Coffee. Soft drinks and the usual great selection of cold beers and lagers will also be available.

Important Club News AGM

At the upcoming Club AGM scheduled for the 22 April we plan to adopt a set of updated Club Rules governing how the Club operates and manages its affairs. These same rules have largely operated since the Club's foundation but needed updating since their last review in 2004 mainly focusing on how we introduce new members into the Club and how the online court booking system works. A set of the updated rules will be placed on the Club noticeboard and some spares kept behind the bar ( ask Darren) if you would like to review them. Squash Court Footwear

Would like to remind all players that the correct Non-Marking Squash Court Footwear must be worn whilst playing squash, there are many black marks that have appeared on court 2 in the last week or so that are impossible to remove. If members are bringing Non Members into the club to play squash it is the members responsibility to make sure that there guest are wearing the correct footwear

Wear the correct footwear or you will be asked to come off court immediately

Friday night is club night as usual on Good Friday

Courts available from 5.20pm continuing until late, just turn up, Play and Socialise with other likeminded club players.

Club night squash time limit (when 6 or more players attend)

There will be a 10-minute time limited this week to each pair of players on court, straight into warming up and then playing with no limit on where the score ends up, once the 10 minutes has been reached the alarm will sound and the next 2 players can go on court to play there 10 minutes.

A £2 light fee will be charged for all players attending regardless of how many games they play

Due to the success of the last quiz night a further evening of fun and antics will be arranged very shortly, date and time to be confirmed.
